Farah Barakat founder and the creator of Farah Jewellery, started her passion for designing and making jewellery at an early age. Growing up, amongst a rich family of goldsmiths and jewellers, was definitely the start of it all. It was her dream to add her own instincts and creativity to a business that has been passed down from five generations.
Farah Barakat spent her childhood seeking opportunities to spend time working with the family, learning whatever possible to build her potential.
She was destined to take advantage of all the knowledge in the field and pursued her design degree in Florence, Italy, a second home, a country where artesian traditions have no limits. She is also a GIA certified in diamonds & colored stones.
Inspired by the art of Italy and influenced by her multiethnic background, she started her personal workshop to create and produce her collection. Each and every piece is driven by passion and imagination. Each idea plays with the magic of color and the freedom of form. There are no restrictions on creativity. It is an ongoing experiment with lights, colors and shapes.
Farah Barakat’s ambition is to continue creating modern master pieces respecting the traditions of jewellery making. Her goal is to see her jewellery admired, not only for its value but for its artistic design, recognizing what each piece has to entice when chosen to be worn by women. Design is in daring to show it not for its beauty but as a form of art for the body.
